V1.27 PCMTuner with Fetrotech Tool Silver Color Version performs the same function as Fetrotech Tool Black Standalone Version. The difference is that the silver version requires an adapter to connect with PCMTuner, while black version can be used alone. Both of them support MED9 series (VAG_MED9.1.2, VAG_MED9.1, VAG_MED9.5.10 and VOLVO_ME9.0) ECU flash and EEPROM on bench without opening the cover. Here is the test on Audi MED9 ECU. Step-by-step guide:
First, plug the connector (comes with Fetrotech Tool Silver version package) into one side of the Fetrotech Tool Silver, and then connect the other side to the PCMTuner ECU programmer
Next, connect the colored jumper to Fetrotech, and connect the other end of the colored jumper to ECU
After that, connect the USB cable to Fetrotech tool and computer
Finally, plug the power adapter to Fetrotech tool, and then the power light is on.
Turn on the computer, and the USB light is on, start to test.
Select VAG MED9 ECU-V1.0.1.10
Micro ID and then read data
