Alientech officially released the new upgrade (V2.30) for KESS V3 ECU programmer on March 23, 2026. KESS3 now features integrated datalogger: a built-in feature designed for real-time monitoring and recording of ECU parameters.
Whether you’re performing a road test or working on a dynamometer, this tool allows you to see exactly what’s happening inside the engine: pressures, temperatures, RPM, air-fuel ratios, and a wide range of other signals.
For daily workshop operations, this represents a meaningful evolution in workflow. You can now accurately assess real engine behavior, validate calibrations using objective data rather than assumptions, identify anomalies during road tests, and maintain a complete test history for comparison and long-term analysis.
How It Works in the Workshop
- Connect KESS3 via OBD
- Select the desired parameters from the ECU
- Start recording and analyze the data
You can monitor up to 5 parameters at once, choosing the most relevant ones for your specific test.
Before recording, check the signals to ensure accurate data acquisition.
During the test, view parameters in real time—either numerically or graphically—and immediately verify data consistency. You can also set thresholds to detect anomalies and place markers at key moments.
Once the session is complete, all data is automatically saved to the Dashboard, where it’s ready for analysis and comparison.
With DataLogger, you can:
- Review test history and compare different sessions
- Share data with colleagues or technical support
- Export everything in CSV format
Reproducible Testing
Thanks to integrated GPS, each recording captures:
- Position
- Altitude
- Vehicle movement
This allows you to repeat the same test under identical conditions, ensuring results are comparable over time.
