Recently, Launch updated new solutions to unlock FCA SGW (security gateway) for different regions (European, North America-US/Mexico/Canada, and other regions). The region based on IP address. There is no US option for European FCA SGW users. There is no Europe and Other options for North American FCA SGW users. Check the details below.
1.For users in USA/Mexico/Canada regions
Solution: login FCA account to unlock FCA SGW on Launch X431 tool directly
When you use Launch X431 diagnostic tool to diagnose FCA vehicle, it will prompt that “The vehicle is equipped with SGW (Security Gateway) module. Do you want to login with FCA account to unlock SGW (Security Gateway) Module?”
Just click “Yes” to register a FCA account, then you can perform the function supported incl. version information, read DTC, read data stream, actuation test and special function.
Note:
There is no Europe and Other options for North American FCA SGW users.

2.For users in European region:
Solution: purchase SGW Function License (European region only)
Software package includes:
- FCA& Maserati gateway license (1 year)
- Mercedes-Benz gateway license (1 year)
- The license will unlock gateway on Mercedes models produced after 2020.
- Renault & Dacia (reduced from the original 50 connections to 20 connections)
- VAG license (1 year)
* Please note that the license must be renewed after expiration.

3.For Users in other regions (Non-European/Non-North America):
Solution 1: purchase SGW function license (Non-European region only)

- The license must be renewed after it expires.
- The Mercedes-Benz gateway license is not available for non-European users.

Solution 2: purchase FCA SGW alone
This standalone FCA SGW product/service is not available in the following regions due to compliance and regional restrictions:

Important Activation Notes
Whether you purchase the SGW function license package or the standalone FCA SGW license, activation is required.
Compatible Devices:
Launch X431 tablets (7-inch and above), including:
Launch X431 PAD IX (9)
Launch X431 PRO series
Before activation, users must log in to:
http://europe-lmp.x431.com/LMP/#/sgwLogin to complete SGW authentication
Otherwise, the function will not activate successfully.
