CGDI K2 Smart Key Tool now supports dealer key generation function for Volkswagen 5C/5D models. Make sure your device software is updated to V5.7.0. How to generate VW 5C/5D key by CGDI K2?
Menu Path:
Navigate to More Function-> VW 5C/5D
Select the corresponding model as follows:
- Volkswagen Folding Key
- Volkswagen B8 Key
- Volkswagen Golf 8 Key
- Audi Key
Operation Instruction:
- For Volkswagen Folding Key
1.This function requires a working key. The target key can be a new or used original key; frequency and key type must be the same as the original key.
2.Please use “PS2 Remote Renew cable” or “PS2 Remote Renew cable V2 (6 pin)” to read the key chip data according to the wiring diagram.
3.Click “Start the operation” to enter the operation interface
Connection types:
- For Volkswagen B8 Key
1.Please connect the original car key according to the wiring diagram. After connecting it to CGDI K2 Key Tool, click Continue to read the chip data.
2.Please connect the key to be written (not the original car key) according to the wiring diagram. After connecting it to K2, click Continue to write the chip data.
- For Volkswagen Golf 8 Key
The instruction is the same as Volkswagen Folding Key.
Connection types:
- For Audi Key
The instruction is also the same as Volkswagen Folding Key.

- Add BMW BDC2 Blade key
