KEYDIY officially released KEYDIY FGB25-5 PCB Board for VW, Audi, Porsche 5C/5D and BMW BDC2/BDC3/BCP remote generation. What is the difference between FGB25-5 and FGB08 PCB Board?
Both KEYDIY FGB25-5 and KEYDIY FGB08 PCB board are designed for VAG (Volkswagen/Audi) MQB49 5D smart key programming, offering similar functionality for non-UWB (Ultra-Wideband) systems. They allow for ID modification and work directly with KEYDIY KD-X4 programmer.
Here is a breakdown of the differences based on available information:
KEYDIY FGB25-5 PCB Key Board Functions
- Support remote generation for VW, Audi and Porsche 5C/5D
- Support remote generation for BMW BDC2/BDC3/BCP
- Can be used as ZB type remote
Notes: Usually comes without a key shell (sold as PCB only).
It can match the car with 5D UWB, but the board itself does not have UWB functionality. As a result, keyless entry can lock the car but cannot unlock it.
KEYDIY FGB08 PCB Key Board Functions
- Support direct key matching and ID modification for Volkswagen and Audi (original 2 chips, without UWB function), no need program generation
- Support ZA and FGA generation. 5D programming temporarily unavailable afterward.
Notes: Usually comes without a key shell (sold as PCB only).

In conclusion:
- For 5D UWB (Ultra-Wideband): Neither board works; you must use an original, dedicated key.
- Shared Ability: Both support modification of the key ID.
- Recommendation: Use FGB08 for standard VW/Audi 3-button replacements and FGB25-5 for Golf 8 style, multi-brand (including Porsche/BMW) requirements.
Both boards require KEYDIY KD-X4, KD-MAX, or similar, and are not to be confused with original VW dealer keys.
