KEYDIY VW MQB49 5C FAQs:
Q1: Are both KEYDIY KD-MAX and KD-X4 compatible with it?
Can KD-MAX perform the entire key learning procedure independently, without requiring any additional tools?
A: KD-X4 can generate and learn key. KD-MAX key programmer only supports dealer key generation, and must use KD-MATE to learn key, other tools cannot be used.
Q2: Does it need points each time to add key?
A: There is no specific plan for this yet. We’ll wait for the feature to be released.
Q3: Can the device read the CS PIN? Can the read files be compatible with other devices?
A: No.
Q4: Which key should be used, the original factory key or KD key?
A: If it’s a 5C, you can choose KD or the original factory key. If it’s a 5D, only the original factory key is available so far.
Q5: Do I need to activate the authorization separately or authorize it together with MQB?
A: There is no specific plan for this yet. We’ll wait for the feature to be released.
