It’s tested OK to read Mercedes Vito 2.2 CDI (W638) BOSCH EDC15C5 K-Line/CAN on Windows7 64 bit by MPPS V18 clone.
Procedures:
Connect MPPS V18 ECU programmer with BOSCH EDC15C5 & computer and supply power
Note: make sure your battery is charged up or use battery charger. Otherwise you will brick your ECU and the only way to recover it is to use BOOTMODE on the bench with additional power supply and different tools.
Run mpps v18 software
Select the corresponding car make, model and ECU type
Choose the language you desire
Select speed and data option
Detect ECU ID
Read ECU data
Note: You need to checksum the file before writing (Use the checksum button)
When finish reading flash, save the data
Important! Don't try to WRITE previously mapped ECU with this tool as Tuners might have Anti-Read/WRITE protection.
