Problem:
On a 2022 Peugeot 208, using Autel IM508 to add a 4A smart key. Programming and PIN reading were successful, but after the process, both keys could not start the vehicle.
Solution:
- This model has a 30-minute security waiting time after programming
- During this period, hazard lights will flash
- Do NOT try to start the car until the lights stop
- Once the flashing ends, the key should work normally
If still not working:
- Make sure the key is placed correctly in the sense area
- Perform proximity learning (hold the lock button for about 10 seconds)
This is a common situation on newer Peugeot models—just wait the full 30 minutes and follow the correct steps.
Feedback:
Came back the next day and went to control unit and keyless system(can). Added another keydiy zb smart key. Did learning for the proximity functions once the key was added on the sense area by holding the lock button for 10 seconds.
