Clone Mazda MX5 8C chip with Handy Baby or VVDI key tool?

Car model and key chip: Mazda MX5 with crypto 8C transponder

Purpose: do a manual spare ( no remote)

Tools can be used:

Xhorse VVDI key tool: Yes

Handy Baby 2 and Handy Baby: yes (with a TK5561A chip)  in 9.0.2 both supported copy and generate(Mazda, Proton). Only to TK5561.

KDx2: haven't tested

Part 1: Xhorse VVDI key tool

VVDI Key Tool can clone 8C chip but the new chip can't be empty when you write on it. I used AVDi to prepare it for Mazda and only then I was able to write on it with VVDI.

Part 2: JMD handy baby 9.00 can copy 8C successfully using TK5561A blank chip.

As you can see, the upper one chip is 8C and the one below is TK5561A blank chip.

Firstly, put the 8C chip in the coil of JMD handy baby and meanwhile press the “Ok” button.

Read out the type 8C and ID.

Take out the 8C chip and press the “Ok” button, get message “Put in blank TK5561A”.

Put in the blank TK5561A, you can see it copy successfully.

Question: Got a quote at $428 for Handy Baby 2, not including shipping, a bit pricey for pre order.

Answer:

Depends on what that does and what's included in the box

Remember the baby only does G if you buy it for like 80-100

And does vw if you buy the jmd assistant for 3-400

So
Handy Baby 350-400
G CHIP 80-100
VW ASSISTANT. 3-400

FOR A FULL HANDY BABY YOU CAN BE AT 900$$$$$$$
