Alientech has updated KESS3 to support protected Bosch MD1CS014 engine control units on 2021+ Audi and Volkswagen models equipped with 3.0 V6 TDI diesel engines.
Technicians can now perform an initial unlock on the bench by opening the ECU casing and using KESS3 Unlock Module accessory in BOOT mode. Once the ECU is unlocked, all subsequent reading and writing operations can be executed in BENCH mode via the external ECU connector, eliminating the need to open the ECU cover ever again.
