In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of cloning an original car key using VVDI BMW Dedicated Adapter. This method supports BDC2, BDC3, BCP, and U chassis—keys cloned with these adapters can be used directly in the vehicle without additional programming.
Adapter Overview
Three adapters require opening the key shell and clamping directly onto the key PCB for reading.
One adapter allows reading by clamping directly onto the key shell—no need to open it.
Supported Devices
- Key Tool Plus and Multi Prog: Support both encrypted and non-encrypted keys.
- Key Tool MIDI, Key Tool Max Pro, Key Tool Max, Mini Key Tool, and VVDI Prog: Support non-encrypted keys only.

Other Adapters
The operation steps are similar for the remaining three adapters:
One adapter is designed for BMW square-type remote PCB.
Another is for BMW long-shaped remote PCB.
The last adapter clamps directly onto the key shell—align the MSDA and MSCL pins with the two points on the key PCB and clamp in place.
