It has been tested and confirmed that CGDI CG100X Programmer with D1 Adapter, Pro V2 Harness can correct mileage for VW MQB48 R7F7014xx 5A dashboard in removal of capacitor way successfully.
Car model:
2019 Volkswagen Tiguan L (dashboard No. 5NG 920 650C)
First, record the original mileage data
We use CG100X VW MQB Power on function to check the mileage
Open CG100X Software
Select Dashboard>> European car>> Volkswagen MQB>> R7F7014xx- Removal of capacitor way>> R7F701407 (5A meters only)
Check Volkswagen_MQB_Power on interface diagram
Use CG100X 35X-CAN Adapter and follow the diagram to connect CG100X Programmer and MQB dashboard, and start up the dashboard.
The mileage appears on the dashboard is 66666km
Next, disassemble instrument to connect with CG100X
When disassembling, do not warp the board inside.
Please be careful to open the back cover needs to pull the dial wire.
Tips:
How to distinguish 5C and 5A?
Locate the chip on the board and determine its silkscreen
If it starts with “EM” on the silkscreen, it is a 5A meter.
If it starts with “PCJ” on the silkscreen, it is a 5C meter.
*Only 5A meters are supported by CGDI CG100X, 5C meters are not supported currently.
Follow the Volkswagen_MQB_R7F701407 Capacitor Removal Way wiring diagram to connect CG100X D1 MQB Adapter and dashboard
Pay attention to the direction of the four corners of the CG100X D1 Adapter. Do not extend the wire harness of the D1 Adapter
Then connect CG100X Programmer and dashboard via the CG100X Pro V2 Harness properly, and also connect the supply power to CG100X
Then, start to correct mileage
Keep the network connection is normal
Click “Start Operation”
Read R7F7014xx chip data successfully, and then save it
*Do not interrupt the operation during decrypting data. Otherwise, the data may be lost.
Then, it shows the current value, and confirm if it is the same as the dashboard
Enter the target value that you want to modify (i.e. 50000KM)
Wait a moment until the mileage modification is completed.
Finally, check if the mileage on dashboard is the same as modified
After the mileage correction is completed, remove the CG100X Pro Adaptation Line and CG100X D70F34xx/D70F35xx Adapter (D1 Adapter), and install the dashboard back into the car or connect CG100X and dashboard via 35X-CAN Adapter to start the car
The mileage appears on the dashboard is 50000, which is the same as modified in the software.
You also can drive your car if need.
You should know that the MQB calculation needs to go to the server, so make sure the device is within the service date and connect the computer with the internet normally.
