clip_image002_zps3e1mneq4

Please note, I recently updated the datens for my E90 & E70 to vers. 55.4 by utilizing the following instructions.

To update the daten files, copy the files from SP-daten-E##\daten to the C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E## (where E## is whatever chassis you're updating). You will also want to copy the files from SP-daten-E##\SGDAT to C:\NCSEXPER\SGDAT (they're not separated into different chassis in NCS Expert, so you just want to copy and paste everything to that directory. Overwrite everything it asks about). The last step to fully updating the install is copying the files from SP-daten-E##\ECU to C:\EDIABAS\ECU.

Working Solution:

Your SOFTWARE & DATENS are messed up.

Step #1

To update the daten files, copy the files from SP-daten-E##\daten to the C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E## (where E## is whatever chassis you're updating). You will also want to copy the files from SP-daten-E##\SGDAT to C:\NCSEXPER\SGDAT (they're not separated into different chassis in NCS Expert, so you just want to copy and paste everything to that directory. Overwrite everything it asks about). The last step to fully updating the install is copying the files from SP-daten-E##\ECU to C:\EDIABAS\ECU.

Step # 2

If Step #1 fails

Search, download, install a free version of BMW Coding Tool v 2.50. Easiest most reliable way to update SOFTWARE & daten, etc.

Exx Coding Package:

(you have to do your own searching)

v.56.0_SP-Daten:

(you have to do your own searching)

* NOTE E65 & E89 received new I-Level in 56.2. For E65 and E89, use SP-Daten in “E65 & E89 56.2 Update” folder.

You only need to download the chassis file for your car.

Then Install INPA_Fxx_v.2:

Copy INPA_Fxx_v.2 folder to C:\EC-Apps\INPA_Fxx_v.2 and EDIABAS to C:\EDIABAS overriding existing EDIABAS Folder.

Run INPALOAD.exe from INPA_Fxx_v.2 BIN folder (C:\EC-Apps\INPA_Fxx_v.2\BIN\INPALOAD.exe).

* Note: DISABLE WINDOWS FIREWALL ANY ANY VIRUS SOFTWARE.

* Note: For Exx connection, you will need to change EDIABAS.ini file to “INTERFACE = STD:OBD” and edit OBD.ini Com Port settings accordingly to match you PC's Com Port settings.
