How to use CG FC200 ECU programmer to virgin Mercedes-Benz FBS4 DSM?
It is available for Mercedes-Benz Continental DSM (FBS4) module C207, C292, W166, W212, W218, and W447 on bench.
Operation guide:
Select Mercedes → Continental DSM FBS4 MC9S12XEQ512 → Platform Mode
Connect FBS4 DSM module to FC200 programmer according to the wiring diagram
- 4x 12V
- 1x GND
- CAN-L
- CAN-H
Ensure all connections are secure and correct.
Function supported:
Read Dflash (cannot be used to clone DSM)
Write Dflash
Change VIN
Renew/Reflash
Transfer data
Once connected, start to identify the DSM module
The module status will show as “Activated” once it’s successfully detected.
Select “Read Dflash” function to back up the original DSM data
Note: This backup cannot be used to clone the DSM but is essential for data preservation.
Select “Renew/Reflash” option to reset the module to a virgin state.
Wait a while until the process is completed, and the system will prompt “DSM is now renewed.”
