Confirmed! OBDSTAR DC706 ECU programmer with TCM V30.01 software can read/write the eeprom and flash data on Benz GETRAG VGS2-FDCT TC1784/VGS-FDCT TC1766 TCM via bench mode like a charm.
What needs to pay attention during operation?
- Keep OBDSTAR DC706 charging and communication through the process.
- When connect the DC706 and Benz TCM via the OBDSTAR P004 adapter and jumper, the Ground must be connected on TCM’s cover.
Menu function path:
Select ECU Flasher>> All>> TCM>> TCM V30.01>> Benz>> BENZ GETRAG VGS2-FDCT TC1784 (BENCH) or BENZ GETRAG VGS-FDCT TC1766 (BENCH)
Operation steps:
After connection, start to enter the main operation interface.
Connect the server and ECU by clicking “Connect” and press the Start button on P004 adapter
Then go to read and backup INT eeprom, EXT eeprom and INT flash data in sequence
After that, continue to write INT eeprom, EXT eeprom and INT flash by selecting the origianl data just saved into the new Benz TCM
After the reading and writing process are completed, disconnect ECU and press the Start button on P004 adapter to turn it off.
