1. How to replace battery?
First this BMW model’s battery is located in the truck on the passenger side.
Then you need a circuit wrench, a plastic clip remover or a screwdriver, and extensions of 10mm or 13mm socket.
1)Remove the plastic cover held by nine clips in total.
2)Remove bolts (one 10mm, one 13mm) and the bracket.
3)Loosen two 10mm knots.
4)Remove the ground cable.
5)Disconnect positive terminal.
6)Remove two long 10mm bolts and the connected blade.
7)Unplug this ventilation line.
8)Replace the old one with a new one with same specification and capacity.
2. How to register battery by Autel MK908P?
After we install a new battery,
Connect J2534 to the vehicle, and connect it to the device via Bluetooth.
Turn on Autel MK908P.
Go to “Automatic selection” and enter main menu.
Select
Hot functions>>BMS>>Register battery exchange
Here we select “F1” (Register the battery replacement).
Then we select “F1” (same capacity).
Choice 1: Yes
Choice 2: NO
Choice 3: NO
Battery exchange successfully registered!
Verify info and complete operation.
