Magic Motorsport Flex version 8.26.0.0 introduces Korhex support for Bosch MD1CS069 and MD1CS089 engine control units (ECUs) based on the TriCore TC299 processor. These ECUs are used in commercial and industrial vehicles.
With the new protocol, technicians can perform the Boot Glitch procedure without working directly on the ECU’s PCB. This simplifies the connection process and helps reduce working time.
How the New Protocol Works
The procedure uses the relevant mask specified in the technical manual to locate the required glitch point. This helps technicians position Korhex tool correctly and establish the connection.
After connecting, users can choose to continue working in Boot Glitch mode or unlock the ECU and switch to Bench mode.
To use this protocol, one of the following configurations is required:
- FLS0.20 Boot Glitch License
- Flex Full FLS0.5M/5S Configuration
Supported ECUs and Technical Specifications
- ECUs:Bosch MD1CS069 – TC299 and Bosch MD1CS089 – TC299
- Working mode:Boot Glitch
- Memory operations:Internal Flash read/write/checksum, EEPROM read/write, and full backup
- Required licenses:20M/S or FLS0.5M/S
- Connection and glitch time:Approximately 30 seconds
- Reading time:Approximately 2 minutes 30 seconds
- Writing time:Approximately 2 minutes
