GODIAG ECU GPT Boot Adapter can work with SM2 Pro J2534, Godiag GT100+ OBDII Breakout Box, and PCMTuner Dongle with pcmflash software to read Ford/JLR SID208 ECU (click here to review). It also can perform this function with Openport 2.0 tuning tool.
With Godiag GT100+, you can check the communication directly.
Step 1: Read Password (Boot mode)
1.Connection
Ford/JLR SID208 ECU Boot Mode Tricode SAK TC1797 Pinout diagram to Godiag ECU Adapter
Pin 39, Pin 5: +12V (Red)
Pin7, Pin2: Ground (Black)
Pin 11: CAN-L (Orange)
Pin 10: CAN-H (Blue)
- Connect GODIAG ECU GPT Boot AD to GT100+ and SID208 via the jumper cable according to the corresponding wiring diagram
- Connect Godiag GT100+ and Openport via OBD cable
- Supply 12V power to GT100+ ECU Connector
- Plug pcmtuner smart dongle into PC
NOTE:
When simulating reading the car password, you must press the switch on Godiag ECU adapter. Otherwise, it cannot be read.
2.Read and save password
Run pcmflash software
Select Interface: J2534: Tactrix Inc.-openport 2.0 J2534 ISO/CAN/VPW/PWM
ECU: [07] JLR: Defender 2012.2.2L TD4 (SID208)
Identify the ECU info- OK
Follow the prompt to read password- OK
Save the password after reading
Step 2: Read and write ECU
1.Connection
Use a screwdriver to dismantle the ECU
Connect ECU with Godiag Adapter according to the previous wiring diagram
Then solder the chip to the PCB board according to the wiring diagram
Directly connect the red wire to CNF1 on the PCB board
Connection is completed.
2.Read Micro & EEPROM data
Run pcmflash software
Select Interface: J2534: Tactrix Inc.-openport 2.0 J2534 ISO/CAN/VPW/PWM
ECU: [53] Infineon: TC1797 MICRO (4096 KB)
Identify the ECU with automatic power control (L-Line)
Must manually pop up the switch button on Godiag ECU GPT Boot AD ECU Connector
Identify ECU successfully
Select Continental Ford SID208 and password saved in step 1 to read Micro data and save it
Then continue to read EEPROM data
Select [53] Infineon: TC1797 EEPROM (64 KB)
Use the same method as micro to identify the ECU, read and save EEPROM data
All work fine!
