Launch X431 ECU & TCU Programmer new tutorial:
Work with X-PROG3 Adapter Cable 2 (VL381) to clone Audi AL381 gearbox TCU on PC software, easy and fast! (Launch X-Prog3 PC Adapter with X-Prog3 also can perform it.)
Here is the detailed operation guide:
Make sure the PC software is downloaded and installed before the operation.

Connect X431 ECU Programmer and computer via a USB cable
Note: if the device is the first time to be used, it needs to be activated with the serial number and activation code (the activation code can be obtained from the envelope of the X431 ECU Programmer), and follow the prompt to operate directly.
Run X-431 ECU & TCU Programmer PC software
Input VL381 in the search box, the car make, model, year and ECU model is found quickly
It’s Audi A4 2007 ALT 2000 130 VL381 TC1766.
Click the ECU to enter the operation page
Click “Direct connection of diagram” to check the corresponding diagram, and follow it to connect X-431 ECU & TCU Programmer and VL381 gearbox TCU via the X-Prog3 Adapter Cable 2 (additional purchase required)
Click “Connect” to identify the TCU chip info
Click “Read EEPROM data” to read and save the original data
Click “Read FLASH data” to read and save the original data as well
Disconnect the original VL381 gearbox, and connect Launch X431 ECU programmer to a new gearbox
Click “Write EPPROM data” and select the original data file to write
Click “Write FLASH data” and select the original data file to write as well
Write both data into the new gearbox TCU successfully, click “Disconnect”
Finally, click “Read ECU information” to read out the VIN, ECU.
Launch X-431 ECU & TCU Programmer Standalone PC Version cloned Audi A4 2007 VL381 TC1766 gearbox TCU successfully. No need X-prog3 Immobilizer & Key Programmer and X-431 tablet.
