Today we’ll demonstrate how to repair Tesla 1512876-00-E airbag control module using OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 in boot mode.
Preparation:
- Main cable
- Jumper wires
- OBDSTAR MP001 Programmer
- OBDSTAR P50/X300 Classic G3
- OBDSTAR RH850/V850 Adapter Kit(C4-06,C4-06-C02, W010)
- Tesla 1512876-00-E Airbag

Operation guide:
Before proceeding, ensure the software is updated to the latest version.
Select Crash Reset-> AIRBAG RESET
Use the search function in the top right corner to quickly locate the airbag part number.

Alternatively, you may navigate different descriptions sequentially via the left menu bar.
Tap “Guide” to view the warm reminder, background, menu description, operation description, note, and connection method.

Connect the airbag module. Use MP001 programmer to perform diagnosis.

A crash event is detected in the airbag ECU.

Let’s try clearing the codes now.
Clearing failed

If the airbag ECU contains crash data, you cannot clear the fault codes.
Next, select [Read/All Data (MP001)].
Select the PCB wiring diagram.
Disconnect power.
Remove the airbag cover and desolder four resistors
Remember to follow ESD safety precautions.

Now, use RH850/V850 adapter and solder the wires.
The 2 wires of C4-06-C02 board must not be extended or altered in material.
As this may result in decryption failure or permanent chip lock.
Tip: To prevent wires from pulling loose, lightly secure them with tape first.
On the back side, carefully solder each wire according to the wiring diagram
After all soldering is completed, set the multimeter to continuity (beep) mode and check the connections to prevent short circuits.

Once all connections are completed, read and save the data.

Proceed with crash data repair. This takes 0-15 minutes.
Tap [OK] when complete.

If the repair was not successful, perform the “Erase Crash (MP001)” operation

Disconnect power, wait 10 minutes and don’t touch anything.
Remove OBDSTAR RH850/V850 adapter.
Solder the capacitor back.
Diagnose the airbag module once more.
Erasing DTC

Read the DTC again.
No crash-related faults were found. The repair was successful.

If you read U3000 internal fault code, use this function to fix it.
You can also access [Advanced Function] to perform VIN writing or configuration programming

Done!
