KEYDIY officially released its long-awaited VAG 5C/5D key programming function on Jan.11, 2026, giving locksmiths and automotive pros more control and flexibility than ever.

BMW, AUDI, VW, PORSCHE, SKODA
- 5C / Supports ZB Smart Keys and Original Keys
- 5D Supports Original Keys only (UWB high-version models require original high-version keys)
- 5C & 5D support original second-hand keys
- Full series BDC2 / BDC3 / LCD / U-Chassis BCP key cloning
- After activating MQB & BMW-G functions, adding the above keys is permanently free
- Supported up to 2026
Tool Compatibility:
Works with both Keydiy KD-X4 and KD-MAX
Note:
- VAG 5C/5D does notrequire KD-MP tool.
- With KD-X4: read original key data & learn key directly.
- With KD-MAX: read key data via KD-MAX, learn via KD-MATE.
Requirements & Notes:
- MQB49 5C/5D requires MQB license activation(same license as MQB48). No points needed to add keys.
- 5C: Supports KD ZB smart keys or original keys.
- 5D: Supports original keys only.
- Both 5C & 5D support second-hand original keys.
BMW G Series Encrypted Keys (BDC2/BDC3):
- Requires BMW G function license activation
- No points needed to generate KD FGB remote
- Generating an original G key costs 180 points.
Kindly notice:
Adapter boards for VAG 5C/5D & BMW encrypted key cloning are coming soon. Until then, use the wire soldering method with a modified KD adapter (see diagram below).
Step-by-Step: VAG 5C/5D Add Key
1.Read original key data
2.Generate dealer key (service code)
3.Learn key in car using the service code.
Extract IMMO data from working key and read sync data afterwards.
With CS data from the key, you can obtain sync info directly.
