MAGIC MOTORSPORT has officially released FLEX Version 8.29.0.0, bringing expanded Korhex coverage for additional VAG Bosch engine control units equipped with the TC298 processor.
The update adds support for:
- Bosch MG1CS011
- Bosch MG1CS111
- Bosch MG1CS163
Previously supported through Voltage Fault Injection (VFI) technology, these ECUs can now be unlocked using Korhex technology, eliminating the need for PCB operations and significantly simplifying the workflow.
Once unlocked, you can proceed directly with Bench Mode read and write operations without reopening the ECU, reducing service time and improving efficiency.
New Protocol Classification
To improve usability, FLEX now separates protocols according to the underlying technology:
- Boot Glitch– Protocols using Voltage Fault Injection (VFI)
- Korhex– Protocols using Korhex technology
This new structure makes it easier to identify the correct connection procedure and access the appropriate documentation within FLEX. Particular attention should also be paid to pins A1 and A4.
