How to Fix KEYDIY KD-MP Calculate MQB48 Data Self-Checking Failure?

Customer Problem:

I was trying to read a 2018 Audi A3 (MQB48) original key using Keydiy KD-MP tool and the specialized MQB48 clip adapter. However, the calculation kept failing. I have already tried flipping the PCB board flat and moving the key into different positions, but nothing worked.

The Solution:

The most common reason for this error is a bad ground (GND) connection on the key board.

The Fix: Make sure you place the clip directly onto the Battery Positive (+) terminal location.

Note: On a standard CR2032 setup, the top side is Positive (+), and the bottom part is Negative (-).

Additional Tips:

Make sure to insert the sponge pad that came with your kit to keep steady pressure on the board.

Power up the device after everything is securely clipped in place.

Success Report:

It worked with Battery Positive (+), the MQB48 data was calculated perfectly.
