Both OBDSTAR DC706 and X300 Classic G3 support Volkswagen MED17.1.27 ECM data reading and writing, mileage calibration, VIN writing, and IMMO off setting on Bench. This guide will demonstrate the operation using the DC706 ECU Tool.
Preparation:
- VW MED17.1.27 ECM
- Main cable
- OBDSTAR ECU clone jumper
- OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool
- OBDSTAR MP001 Programmer
- High-power DC regulated power supply
Operation guide:
Update the ECU Flasher software to the latest version
Select ECU Flasher-> ECM-> ECM V31.90
Input med17.1.27 in the searching box to find the corresponding ECM model (e.g. VOLKSWAGEN BOSCH MED17.1.27 TC1793S)

Follow the diagram to connect OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Programmer and VW ECM via the MP001 Programmer, ECU clone jumper, and main cable correctly, and also connect to the power supply
Click “Start”, select “BENCH” and “MP001”
Switch to the operation page to perform the available functions.
Need to connect to a stable internet
- Connect ECU
- Read INT eeprom and INT flash
- Write INT eeprom and INT flash with the corresponding original data
A “CS” label in the top-right corner indicates that data verification is supported.
When it shows “Do you need to verify the data”, click “No”.
- Mileage calibration
Enter the mileage you desire to overwrite
- Write VIN
Enter the VIN you want to overwrite
- IMMO OFF
To switch off the immobilizer system of the ECU, load the INT flash file to do
Finally, disconnect the ECU
