Customer Feedback:
Tried to access the MED17.5.25 ECU on a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta with Autotuner ECU Tuning Tool via the OBD port. Despite following the recommended setup, including keeping the hood open and supporting the vehicle with a battery charger, the tool was unable to connect to the ECU and the read process could not be completed.
Solution:
This vehicle is equipped with an SFD security gateway.
OBD functions may be blocked by SFD protection.
Use tools such as Autel, Launch X431, or other compatible scanners to unlock the gateway first.
If SFD unlocking is not available, perform the operation on the bench.
Bench read/write completed successfully.
