One customer reported that Keydiy KD-MP Tool read original MLB keys without any issue, but it failed to work with MQB48. It read key ID, loaded it up to the server, but it came back and appeared the error “Server self-check failed”.
Solution:
KEYDIY has released a new software update (Version 1.8.7, February 2026) for KD-MP MQB48/MLB data collection tool. This release addresses known key reading issues.
Troubleshooting Guidance:
If the problem persists after updating to the latest software, please try changing the key position and attempt the procedure again.
