How to reset Adaptation Function (Fuel Trim) on Volvo XC90 2019 with Launch X431 Scanner?

3 Steps to Reset Adaptation Function (Fuel Trim):
Step 1: Read fault code
Step 2: Clear fault code
Step 3: Reset Adaptation Function
X431 tablet with Volvo software (i.e. Volvo V44.65) automatically diagnose the CEM and ECM systems’ DTCs
Confirm the ECM system info incl. ECU diagnostic and hardware part number.
Step 1: Read fault code
Read the prompt message below and click “OK” to continue
DTC description:
If suffix present
Suffix (P) for Permanent Malfunction
Suffix (I) for Intermittent Malfunction
Read out the fault code is “P017100 System Too Lean (Bank1), General Failure Information. No Sub Type Information”
Step 2: Clear fault code
Key On, and engine Off! Make sure erase DTC.
Erase DTC cannot be completed!
Separately clearing code is unavailable in current ECU. Ensure to clear all DTCs.
Repeat the same steps as before
But erase DTC still cannot be completed!
Step 3: Reset Adaptation Function
Select Special Function>> Reset The Adaptation Function Of The Fuel/Air Mixing (Fuel Trim)
Pay attention to the reset notice and operation process.
This reset must be performed after rectified the stored diagnostic trouble code (DTC) because the control module has reached its fuel compensation limit…
Click “Start” to reset the adaptation
Completed successful
Wait for 3 minutes! After completed, the control module can be kept in standby mode to reset the data stored in memory.
Finally, read the fault code again. NO DTCs SET!
The Adaptation Function (Fuel Trim) has been reset successfully by Launch X431 diagnostic scanner.
