This post will share how to add a new key to BMW 730 CAS4+ IL15Y using XTOOL X100 PAD2 PRO successfully.
Car: i.e 2009 BMW 730 CAS4+ IL15Y
One original key+ one working key
Device: XTOOL X100 PAD2 PRO auto key programmer
Procedures:
Step 1: Backup encodes data
Connect XTOOL X100 Pad2 to the OBD port of the vehicle
Enter X100 Pad2 Pro tablet
Select BMW-> CAS4/CAS4+-> Backup encodes data
Note: Ensure the network connection is normal
Turn on the ignition switch and hazard warning lights
Read out the vehicle info
Including CAS number, VIN code, current key in the ignition, remote control frequency and current mileage
Save the data read out
Backup code successfully
Step 2: Match key
Select [File Generation Key]-> [1L15Y]->[Match Key]
Follow the instruction to operate.
-Use the CAS4 D-FLASH file read by the adapter and copy it to the XTOOL /Adapter folder of the device. If the adapter folder does not exist in the device, you need to create it first.
(Note: If the device has internal and external space differences, you need to transfer the adapter folder to the internal space.)
Select an unused key location (i.e key pos4) and press the [Write Start Key] button
Confirm the key position you selected
Put a new key into the coil
Match the new key successfully
Now the key position (key pos4) shows “Used”
Done!
