This guide demonstrates the procedure for all keys lost programming on a Mercedes-Benz W169 EIS by bench using OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 (Key Master G3). Ensure all connections are secure and follow each step carefully to avoid errors.
Preparation:
- 12V power supply
- Main cable
- Bench-A V3 Clone Jumper
- C4-05
- C4-04
- OBDSTAR MP001 Programmer
- OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 key programmer
- Mercedes-Benz Gateway
- Mercedes-Benz W169 EIS
- Mercedes-Benz Car Key (Blank BE Key)
Operation guide:
1.Upgrade the software to the latest version
Select IMMO-> BENZ-> BENZ V40.56-> Manual Select Chassis-> Program Keys (FBS3)-> By Bench
Tap “Guide”
Identify the EIS type according to the EIS diagram
e.g. W169
Choose “All Keys Lost”
Open the operation guide and carefully read the steps and precautions

Select “PinCode Collection”
Tap on “Pinout” at the left bottom corner

Make the connection according to the diagram
Follow the OBDSTAR G3 device prompts to connect the OBDSTAR C4-05 module and the diagnostic tool to the MP001 Programmer
Insert the C4-05 into the EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch)
Wait for the system to collect data
The device will automatically parse out the pin code of the key.
Step 2: Generate BE Key File
Select “Method 1 (Read EIS IMMO Data)”
Check the wiring diagram
Remove the C4-05 cable
Next we will generate the key file for all keys lost programming
You can select any one of the eight keys.

Step 3: Reset Virgin BE Key Data
Tap “Help” to view the wiring diagram
We need to connect the OBDSTAR C4-04 module again
Insert the key into the infrared keyhole of the c4-04 as prompted by the device
Key reset virgin successfully
Step 4: Read Key Info
The key still needs to be inserted into the infrared keyhole of the c4-04
This indicates the key has been reset virgin successfully.
Step 5: Write BE Key Data
Follow the prompts to place the Mercedes-Benz key into the infrared Keyhole of the
C4-04
Select the key file just generated
File written successfully
Step 6: Examine Car Key
Follow the device prompts to place the key into the EIS
Follow the device prompts for insertion and removal operations
The X300 Classic G3 device prompt indicates that the current key programming was successful.
