If you are working on a 2021 VW Jetta (Mexico) with All Keys Lost (AKL), you might encounter a frustrating glitch where the vehicle gets stuck in key learning mode. Even with high-end tools like Keydiy KD-X4 key programmer and Yanhua ACDP2, the dashboard may display a persistent “1-1” code, and the engine will refuse to start despite a pre-coded dealer key being present.
The Symptom:
Even with a steady power supply (power boost) and no SFD restrictions, the ECU remains locked in the learning phase, effectively “freezing” the process.
The Verified Solution:
Sometimes the simplest fix is the most effective. If your software won’t break the loop, a hard reset of the vehicle’s electrical system is required:
- Power Down: Pop the hood and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- The 10-Minute Rule: Wait at least 10 minutes to allow the capacitors and ECU memory to clear.
- Reset & Retry: Reconnect the terminal and restart the key programming sequence from the beginning.
Result: This hard reset clears the “1-1” hang-up, allowing KD-X4 and ACDP2 to successfully finalize the sync.
