In this post, you will see the detailed guide to install the Ford/Mazda IDS software and driver on windows 10 for VXDIAG scanner (VXDIAG VCX NANO Ford/Mazda USB or WiFi, VCX SE or VCX Plus Ford/Mazda, VCM2 Clone).
NOTE:
It has been tested and verified 100% working on Windows 10 by eobdtool.co.uk engineer. You can try to test on Win7 or Win11 on your own.
Don’t install both Ford IDS and Mazda IDS on the same operating system!!!
1.How to Install Ford IDS V130 for VXDIAG Scan Tool on Win10?
Step 1: Install IDS_130.01_full.exe setup
Open Ford IDS V130 software folder
Install IDS_130.01_full.exe setup
Select setup language
Accept the license agreement
Install setup
IDS will configure the new software installation
Wait a moment till the installation is completed
Reboot
Step 2: Install VCI_Software_1.0.0.10 driver
Open VCI_Software_1.0.0.10 to install
Install VCI software successfully
Step 3: Install VX Manager 1.8.9
Open VX Manager 1.8.9.0601 to install
Select the components: 7-FORD/MAZDA-IDS
Continue to install
Install the VX Manager successfully
Step 4: Install Passthru J2534 and Ford/Mazda IDS driver
Copy and paste IDS_Patch to desktop
Connect VXDIAG device with a laptop
Run VX Manager
Check device status
Everything is OK.
Finally, run Ford IDS from IDS_Patch on desktop
Software is ready to use.
2.How to Install Mazda IDS V131 for VXDIAG Diagnostic Tool on Win10?
Mazda IDS installation is easier than Ford IDS. Mazda does not need to install VCI software driver.
Other steps are the same.
Step 1: Install MazdaIDS-131.00.exe setup
Reboot
Step 2: Install VX Manager 1.8.9.0601
Step 3: Install Passthru J2534 and Ford/Mazda IDS driver
Finally, run Mazda IDS from IDS_Patch on desktop to perform the function supported.
